Make The Most Of It

Diet doesn’t only mean watching your weight and cutting down your intake of foods but knowing also the nutrients that our body needs from those foods we eat every day. The less middle class women like me can also be cautious and conscious with the food we can affordably buy in the market even if we are ordinary women, even if we are not socializing and even if we’re not dancing on the floors with highly and well-known persons on the upper and the middle class of our society, because we cannot afford the kind of living they are living, yet we can be like celebrities’ very attentive attitudes of their strict diets too. Isn’t it nice? We buy can goods and instant noodles with their preservatives contents and for having their nutritional facts as guaranteed by nutritionists but it is not actually healthy, offensively aside. They can only give us less than fifty percent of the nutrition we need or even lesser than that from those ready made and instant foods. That’s why knowing the vitamins and nutrients from the affordable vegetables is very important practice that we should do as women whose responsible of not only to “herself” but the people around us that we love the most and to whom we offer our services, like our husbands, parents, nephews and nieces and our children. This practice may immensely contribute to our healthy lifestyle; physically, mentally and spiritually and when cooking will become more enjoyable than ever.

These vegetables were not accidental as they came here in the world before us and its true purpose was given as a gift to us by our Creator ever since. It is up to us as women who were mostly presented by the knowledge that this era had reached about vegetables nutritional facts and being the recipients and as the queen of our kitchens to make it as a practice and later on a way of life for getting the better sources of nutritious foods, as part of our daily meal and not a punishment especially for kids. I’m sure every woman nowadays is aware of these benefits as facts, which some are engross with its many ways around to know the nutrients that a particular vegetable has, besides having the good advises that we usually hear from our elderly about vegetables. And with the help of Internet to access such searching about a particular vegetable’s vitamins and nutrients and the benefits we can get from it or reading it from the books and food dictionaries around and we learned about other ways of cooking them tastefully and deliciously. We can balance the way we eat to achieve the figure as women we usually dream, which means that we must eat the right amounts of foods from all levels of the Food Pyramid each day. This way you will get all the calories and nutrients that we need for proper growth of our children and us and development.

Going back, most studies showed that the dietary supplementation from the vegetables is more effective than the usual nutritive foods that extracted from the same source. It is now highly recommended by most physicians the importance of maintaining the intake of most helpful vegetables’ nutrients in our body that is now rampantly reproduced by businessmen through the make of herbal supplements and that’s how studies went farther. We cannot buy beef every day just to maintain the protein we need from it, which we cannot do on a limited budget we all have, but we can substitute beef with other vegetables that has the same content of protein and it can be found with monggo or sprout, plus its factor for not having the cholesterol. Although, sprout has not the same taste that beef produces but you can be creative enough to make it innovatively delicious. Tip: sauté garlic till half brown then onion and lots of sliced tomatoes, at least four. Use fish sauce or salt to taste what you desire. On a separate boiling pan, boil sprout using the washed rice’s first water till tender. Add the boiled sprout, an ampalaya and two eggplants that were cut into small pieces bite size. Add more fish sauce or salt if necessary and you can also add malunggay or known in scientific name as moringa oleifera for more beneficial nutrition and to creamy like. Simple and budgeted viand, but it is creative and nutritious and not to sacrifice the most prioritized benefit for your family.

By doing such thing in your own hands, you’re empowering yourselves to free from all the worries. We know very well that kids today are not fond of vegetables on their plates but it is in your hands to make them like the vegetables on a forceful way but on a gently and informative manipulation. You can use the effectiveness of some TV ads about the drive of implementing vegetables to the kids with its attractive jingle, in a playful way. It marked a big impact to our youngsters. For practicality sake, you are already making the most of it with it.
Remember, aiming for what we really want as women are reachable because we have the power to make them happen, since we are the ones who have the basic to be able give focus to understand the simplicity of some complex measures around us and enjoy and be useful of our being every woman to the fullest.
